Overview

🆕 Introduction

One of the sections for creating an event, ‘Registration and questions’, offers the following enhanced functions:

  1. When the event is open to companions, the main participant must register each accompanying person by name.
  2. Any questions on the registration form may also be asked of companions.
  3. It is possible to create questions containing a unit price; the total amount to be paid by the principal participant is calculated automatically.
  4. A direct online payment option, validating the registration, is available on an annual subscription basis.

To make it easier to create an event according to its characteristics and needs, four options are available for pricing and payment management:

Generation of dependent events 

The deployment of Polaris version R1.04 (August 2024), with its improved event registration functionality, offers four options for managing prices and payments, to make it easier to create an event according to its characteristics and needs. 

This diversity of event types has led to the removal of the “Dependent Events” functionality.

The new feature of this option concerns the “Questions” section, which makes it possible to indicate a unit price for each type of question; the total amount due by the main participant is paid on the spot or according to the terms defined by the club (no link with the financial module for the moment).

Registration

The creation of such an event is identical to that of the current basic event in Polaris, except for the“Registration/Questions” section which includes one or more questions with unit price.

When registering, a box displays the following details: name of the main participant, names of any companions and specific cost per person, as well as the total amount due on site.

RkfrAAAAAElFTkSuQmCCIf the authorization to register companion(s) is activated, the main participant must nominally register any person accompanying him/her, including answering any questions.

This enhancement makes it possible to fully manage the choices made by event participants.
