General terms and conditions for online transactions via the Payrexx payment platform

Clubs and other Rotarian organizations (e.g. districts, foundations, fellowships, services, etc.) have the option of concluding a contract with the payment service provider Payrexx AG, 3600 Thun (‘Payrexx’) in order to process online payments. This makes it possible to pay online for events, products, donations, etc. using the most common means of payment (Visa, Mastercard, TWINT, PostFinance, PayPal, Klarna, etc.).

Payrexx, as a financial intermediary SRO (Impressum payrexx.com), takes over the account verification of the organizations, within the scope of the due diligence obligations applicable to financial intermediaries, in accordance with money laundering legislation, and ensures the proper processing of payment transactions in favor of the organizations attached to the payment platform in accordance with their own contractual and business conditions. These conditions are available here and also form an integral part of the contract with Payrexx: Terms of Use and Guidelines (payrexx.com).

Payrexx is solely responsible for payment transactions via the Payrexx payment platform. Neither the Association Rotary Media Switzerland/Liechtenstein (VRM) nor the Polaris platform are involved in payment transactions.

As a regulated company, Payrexx must comply with the requirements of financial regulators, card schemes and payment processors. Accordingly, unsupported business models and services are excluded from payment transactions via the Payrexx payment platform. The organizations agree to strictly adhere to these requirements in accordance with their contract with Payrexx.

In order for an organization to enter into a contract with Payrexx, it must provide the information listed here.

Data security

The data traffic between the Polaris websites and the Payrexx payment platform takes place in a secure, encrypted manner.

Polaris does not store any data about the means of payment used or about their affiliation to persons.

Important note

Payrexx payment is not available in all countries. See the country availablility page. If your country is not listed, an external payment provider can be configured in Payrexx. In this way the club can use the local payment provider and integrate it with via Payrexx in Polaris.

This is especially the case for: Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Spain and Sweden.

Prices and conditions

The Association Rotary Media Switzerland/Liechtenstein (ARM) charges the following fees for the option of making online payments in Polaris via the Payrexx payment platform:

  • The use of online payment for clubs, fellowships or other organizations at the club level is free of charge. If no sales are generated with the online payment option for a period of 8 months, the club will be automatically suspended in the Payrexx payment platform.

  • The annual fee for national organizations, districts and organizations at the district level is CHF 180.00 excl. VAT.
    The subscription begins with the creation of the account and is billed pro rata temporis. The annual fee will be added to the annual invoice. The contract period is one year. The contract is renewed automatically for a further year if it is not terminated at least three months before expiry (the date of confirmation of receipt of the termination applies).

For payments with Payrexx, transaction fees apply according to the table below. For payments with external payment providers, the providers' transaction fees apply.

Assistance package for registration with Payrexx (optional)

The setup and configuration of the Payrexx payment platform can be done either by representatives of the respective organization (club, district, foundation, community, etc.) themselves or, if desired, by the Polaris team for a one-time setup and support fee of CHF 300.- incl. VAT.

The following services are included in the assistance package:

  • Setting up the Payrexx account.
  • Individual configuration: users, domain, look and feel settings (logo, colors), credit card billing, payout settings, notification settings, ...
  • Support with the club's account verification in coordination with Payrexx
  • Selection of possible payment providers
  • Connecting the Payrexx account to Polaris via an API key.
  • Creation of a donation page for club projects and integration into Polaris (can be used immediately).
  • Personal support with questions regarding the setup of online payments (Payrexx)

Payrexx transaction fees

Remember that fees listed here apply only for Payrexx payment. If you use other payment provider and integrate it via Payrexx, the transaction fees of that provider will apply.
