To all SEMDA customers and team members
Dear colleagues, ladies and gentlemen
We are pleased to announce, that all customers of the existing SEMDA solution confirmed to adapt their local CMS systems and will use SEMDA-3 API. We have also one new, interested to integrate SEMDA. All Information regarding the new API is available since 1. November 2024. The article "SEMDA" gives you the best starting point to read.
The migration project is starting now and will end in August 2025.
In February there will be a online kick-off meeting, where we you will meet the participants and will learn how use RedMine. You all got already your access to RedMine, the change management system, which is used to
communicate to the SEMDA team. All support requests a bug reports are processed via RedMine.
Please fill this poll to find a suitable date for our kick-off meeting by latest 31. January 2025. On 1. February the date will be defined and the invitations will be sent. The meeting will be a MS-Teams online meeting and will be recorded. The meeting is mandatory. Either you will attend or listen to the recording. Currently we do not plan further periodic project meetings, but we can discuss it.
The further rough plan looks like this:
- (February) You will need to sign an agreement with us to use the SEMDA Test system. This is necessary in order to regulate the data protection and access to the test data at RI. This is not yet the final contract with RCS.

(February) Customers who signed the agreement will get access to the
SEMDA Test system. Each customer has its own access and does not see other clubs.
- (May)
You will need to sign the final contracts with us to use the SEMDA production system. All customers will have the same contract and the same conditions. This is also dependent on RI, because RI terms & conditions will be part of the final contract.
- (June) there will be a migration plan which will define in which sequence the Local CMS systems will start using SAMDA-3. The sequence depends on the progress of your integration project and will be discussed with you.
- (after 15. July) The migration and the start of the productive SEMDA system usage will begin. The access for each Local CMS system will be enabled one after another in the agreed sequence. There will be for sure a project meeting before the migration will start. It will be mandatory to know the plan and to coordinate the actions.
- (End of August)
SEMDA 2.0 will be stopped then. The precise date depends on the migration progress, but will not be extended after 1. September 2025.
There will be periodic newsletter informing you about the project progress. The next one will reach you in March 2025.
