Our last communication was a very long time ago in April 2024. We apologize for this long break. It was caused by circumstances beyond our control.
As you may know, RI is running a project for a new data integration. This project had already been delayed in April. Nevertheless, we had hoped to be able to base SEMDA-3 on this new interface. In July, this hope was dashed. The new RI interface has still not reached a reasonably solid state today.
We had to change our plan and decided to take the today's RI interface as the basis for SEMDA-3. This has finally added a six-month delay to the project, but we are no longer dependent on the RI project now.
We are well aware that this strategy also has disadvantages. As soon as the RI project has reached a good maturity level, we will have to adapt the software again. As things stand today, we estimate that this will not be the case until Q3 2025 at the earliest.
This will not change the basics and functions of the SEMDA interface much. We believe that we will be able to hide the adjustments to the new RI interface in the internal logic, without having to make significant changes to the SEMDA interface. There will certainly be changes, but we rather expect extensions.
So we have completely revised our plan and have been working intensively on the SEMDA project since July. We are making good progress and are confident that the current plan is realistic. It looks as follows:
- 1 November 2024 – Publication of the SEMDA interface and the SEMDA API in SwaggerHub
- Mid January 2025 – Availability of the SEMDA test environment for initial tests
- Mid July 2025 – Availability of the SEMDA production environment. Not all customers will be enrolled at the same time.
- August 2025 – Start decommissioning of SEMDA-2. This is when the final countdown will start.

The plan above shows that you have to decide by mid-January 2025 whether you want to use the SEMDA-3 interface or not. We will be happy to discuss this with you.
The next communication will be distributed in January 2025. By then also the contract templates should be available.
