Club invoices and club member count

Team Polaris

Rotary membership is not for free. Each member pays a membership fee for each 6-month period. Rotary International sends an invoice to the club twice a year.

The membership count for the first 6 months is made on January 15, and for the following 6 months on July 15 of each year. New members who joined the club between January 1 and 15 or July 1 and 15 are not considered. BTW: Please remember that the club registration date for active members cannot be changed. In order to receive a correct club invoice, your club's membership count must be accurate as of January 15, respectively July 15.

Rotary International does not allow forward dated member status changes, nor does it allow changes of membership status more than one month in the past. Consequently, changes in membership status must be made within 28 days in Polaris.

Practical guideline for the secretary:

  • Perform all membership changes as soon as possible. You have only 28 days to do that.

  • In January an in July you have only 14 days to do all changes. Otherwise, RI will send an incorrect invoice to your club.
  • Finish transfer of members between clubs by December 28 or June 28 respectively.
