Editing guest relationship
1. Granting RI honorary membership to a Rotarian
This is possible only to Rotarian from other club. Two cases may happen:
The club of the Rotarian to be honored is using Polaris and is in the same instance (country) as the club granting the honorary membership.
=> Then you make the Rotarian a Guest in your club and edit his/her relationship. Here you can grant him/her RI honorary membership. See picture on the right
- The club of the Rotarian is NOT using Polaris or is NOT in the same instance (country) as the club granting the honorary membership.
=> In this case, you must first ask the Polaris administrator to create the Rotarian as Active member in the Rotary Multi District RMD and you can then list him/her as Guest in your club and edit his/her relationship. You can then grant him/her honorary membership of RI.
Rotarians can be RI honorary member in many clubs, but not in their own club. Each honorary membership is reported to RI.
When the Rotarian resigns in his own club or dies, his RI honorary membership will automatically be terminated. His guest relationship is also automatically terminated.
If the Rotarian is transferred to another club within Polaris, his RI honorary membership will remain. If he is transferred outside Polaris, his RI honorary membership and his guest membership are automatically terminated.
